I am passionate about everything design, complex systems, and process. I focus on concept, meaning, and problem solving, which I consistently apply in the study of print, web design, and creating a unique user experience.
I am extremely knowledgeable of the overall production and design process. I have over three years of experience in internships, part-time design jobs, freelance assignments and one year of full time design employment. All of which has well equipped me with the production process, communication and organization skills necessary to successfully complete design projects. My experience includes client responsibility to set and maintain timeframes, meet deadlines and prepare files for production. My success stems from a strong work ethic and time management skills that allow me to handle multiple projects. I am proactive in finding answers to any issues or questions and eager to learn. Most importantly, I enjoy working with people, both individually and in a team setting, which will prove valuable as a team member.
I excel at the organization of dense data and text into easily understood and navigable information. Part of this success stems from a strong sense of the use of typography in communication design. Most importantly, the best design solution addresses the end user's needs, clearly communicates the intended message, is user friendly, and is visually exciting. To make this happen, I believe research, knowledge of the target audience, and understanding the user’s interaction with the product are the key components for a successful design outcome. The problem and solution should inform what media wether signage, web presence, print collateral, or etc is used to convey the intended message. Additionally, I possess a strong sense of research and problem solving that is not only valuable to how I approach design but also transfers to how I handle day to day obligations.
